Mirrors

Introduction

Ferroperm Optics A/S offers three different types of mirrors:

A: Metallized surfaces are broad band mirrors with good reflection properties. They are manufactured by means of deposition in a vacuum environment, which means that the thickness can be controlled and the mirror can be made partly transparent. By means of this technique we are able to manufacture components to split or combine beams (beamsplitters e.g. for lasers) and neutral density filters.

B: Dielectric mirrors often have a narrow band with high reflectance at a specific wavelength (dependent on the angle of incidence). This type of mirror is very useful for laser beams.

C: Metal mirrors are used with high power lasers which require a high heat conductivity to assure sufficient cooling of the mirror.

What to consider when ordering mirrors

When ordering a mirror from Ferroperm Optics A/S, the following parameters are important to consider:

  1. Dimensions (e.g. square, circular, size, etc.)
  2. Quantity
  3. What type of mirror do you need?
  4. Over what wavelength range must the mirror reflect?
  5. How high reflectance?
