Special Thin Film Coatings

Introduction

Ferroperm Optics A/S often receives enquiries about specialized coatings, i.e.coatings used at other ranges than the optical spectrum (e.g. microwaves), coatings with special electrical properties and thick coatings with a precious metal (e.g. Au) with a well-defined thickness.

As an example, we have been involved in the Mars Pathfinder Project where we coated items that were sent to Mars. Because of this and other assignments we have acquired knowledge about different areas within research and industry that gives us the capability to come up with solutions to most of our customers' problems.
